Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) is a new higher education institution which was established by the Pembangunan Jaya Business Group with the operational liscence based on Ministerial Decree Number 38/D/2011 date February 25, 2011. Pembangunan Jaya Business Group itself runs 25 different business units in the areas of property, manufacture, management consultation, design consultation, construction, tourism/recreation, trading, mechanical and electrical engineering, and education.

Pembangunan Jaya Business Group has 50 years of experience in business sector and intended to devote parts of its main business to education to develop more qualified Indonesia’s human resources.

To support that university’s goal, the Community Service and Development Center was established through the rectorial decree number 04-2/KEP-REK/UPJ/11 on the establishment of the Pembangunan Jaya Center of Community Service and Development. The responsibility of UPJ CCC is to play role as part of the Indonesia’s academia by contribute to the society in the form of science and technology research and development which are based on Universitas Pembangunan Jaya specialization that is Urban Lifestyle and Urban Development.
